These children are often victims of sexual abuses, other being forced into physical labor, and even forced in cruel act towards other children. It is perfectly known that conflicts severely affect mainly children, and because of their vulnerability, most of them end up deeply traumatized, severely wounded and even disabled because of the atrocities they have been through. The planet is in crisis, suffering, because in most cases armed conflicts break families up, segregating children from its parents or persons in charge of them, they're left on their own at a very early age, alone, frightened, lost, and in need of love and protection, since they're unable to care for their own.
Wars are not to be further allowed actually under any circumstances. This happens mostly because children are biopsychosocial innocent beings, unconscious of the dangers of war, and "much cheaper", who tend to obey without questioning and without ever challenging the authority.
Apart from these victims, the numbers of children wounded or disabled because of wars is more than three times larger, and even larger for those children suffering from diseases, malnutrition, sexual violence, and other severe problems, all of them causes of incalculable and irreversible psychological damage.
As pediatricians, in hurts deeply to know that more than a million children have been killed brutally in the last 10 years as a consequence of world conflicts, both as civilian casualties or killed in combat as child soldiers.
